G-Whizz is a lovely, adorable, and petite g-spot vibrator made by Lovehoney.  The vibrator is made to both stimulate the clitoris and the g-spot. I have to say, this vibrator is a straightforward creation that covers all your basics.

One upside of the G-Whizz is that the vibrator takes one, yes you heard me, one AA battery!  Every other vibrator I own takes two AAA batteries that always seem to hide themselves in the nooks of my apartment.  This battery upgrade is an excellent example of little things making big differences.  Another upside is that the vibration options cover all of your bases.  The vibrator has 7 different pulsating patterns and 3 different vibration speeds resulting in 10 total options.  Soft, strong, fast, and slow, with some really nice pulsation patterns.  During my first usage, I was skeptical of some of the settings, but as I continued to use the vibrator, they grew on me – you know, different moods, different desires.  I was particularly impressed with the slower, softer settings.  As for strength, I found the vibrator to deliver.  I personally enjoy a vibrator with a little oomph behind it and although my mind was not blown away by the strength (and I’m not sure I would want to be), I was quite happy with the power this tiny vibrator has.

This vibrator operates with a single button that serves as both the power button and the settings switch.  A downside to this vibrator is that once you turn it on you have to cycle through all the settings to get to the one you would like to use.  Although this is common in the world of vibrators, this is a personal annoyance I have.  Thankfully though, to turn off the vibrator you do not have to flip through all the settings.  Instead you just hold down the button and it switches right off.  Praise the wise women of the world, because when I’m finished, I’m finished.

While using the vibrator I was particularly impressed with the material.  The vibrator is silky smooth to the touch.  As for volume – you know, the important question of whether the other people that also live in your house will hear this lovely, adorable, and petite toy vibrating when you may not want them to – I will say it is about average.  I wouldn’t call the vibrator either noisy or quiet.  When the vibrator is set to one of the softer settings, it is mighty hushed, but as the intensity of the vibration increases so does the noise (how logical).  If noise is particularly important to you, I wouldn’t consider this vibrator the quietest of them all.  Either way, if your doors have a standard thickness, I’ll think you’ll be okay.

The shaft of the vibrator is quite stiff, however, the head of the vibrator has some flexibility.  Overall, the toy is firm enough to keep its shape, but it does bend slightly when you put pressure on it.  This flexibility is nice because it allows the vibrator take shape with your body.  However, this flexibility inhibits the ability to apply firm pressure on your g-spot.  When I tried to apply the pressure I enjoy, I found the head of the vibrator giving way.  I ended up using the vibrator mostly for clitoral stimulation and it rocked my world in that department.  Also important to note, I found that I didn’t need very much lubrication for this toy.  The first time I used it I didn’t use any extra lubrication and found I didn’t need it.  The times following I applied a water based lube (silicone lube on silicone toy equals one strangely warped and melted toy…really) and I found that really enhanced the silkiness of the toy.

Overall, I would consider this to be a nice toy that does what it claims to do.  It covers all of your basics and is reasonably priced (19.99 euros, which is about 26 U.S. dollars).  It’s darn attractive, always a plus.  It is also small, which is fabulous for when you want to tuck that baby away.  However, if you have a particularly high g-spot the length of this vibrator may not work for you.  The G-Whizz has some enjoyable soft settings, but also packs a punch.  I personally found the vibrator to be great for clitoral stimulation, and I assume it is great for g-spot stimulation if you don’t mind the flexibility of the head.

This vibrator is a nice introductory vibrator for someone newly exploring their g-spot.  I believe it would also be a nice vibrator for a more experienced individual who just wants a simple, straightforward toy that does the trick.

Thanks Lovehoney for sending this toy to me for review.  You can bet your great Uncle Ron’s homemade donuts that I’m enjoying it.

Fun Factory FOU

I wanted to like the Fun Factory FOU. I really did. I mean, I love Fun Factory toys…the Smart Balls are brilliant, the Tiger dildo is one of my absolute favorites, and the Layaspot is a really awesome external vibrator.

Sadly, my adoration for the fabulous silicone sex toys made by Fun Factory ends here. As cute and adorable as the FOU is in style, it lacks in actual useability. Yes, it has lots of fancy buttons, and in addition to various speeds, it has various vibration patterns. Sounds epic, yes? However, the majority of the vibration is actually located in the base of the toy (the white part in the picture), rather in the fun silicone part that actually touches your body. Not having the majority of the vibration in the part of the toy actually doing the work? Total rookie toy move, and not something that I would expect from such an awesome toy manufacturer.

The other issue was with the design itself. Supposedly, the clitoris is supposed to fit in the small indentation in the toy. Given the various sizes, lengths, widths, sensitivities, etc of clitorises, I find this hard to believe. Even if it did fit, there wasn’t enough vibration to really do anything, but it still seems like a silly design.

I do love that it is rechargeable, and has the cool magnetic charger like the newer Macs. It’s also 100% body safe – no phthalates to be found here! Because it is 100% medical grade silicone, you should use a water based lube with it. Silicone lube will ruin the toy. Which, given its lack of awesomeness, might not be the worst thing to ever happen. *shakes head sadly*

If you are more adventurous than I, and are willing to give it another chance, head on over to Adult Sensations and get your own Fun Factory FOU vibrator. Otherwise, if you want an awesome clitoral/external vibrator, I’d say go for the Lelo Siri or even just a basic Fun Factory Layaspot.

Mona 2

It’s time for another toy review…finally. I know it’s been a while, as I’ve been focusing more on book reviews.

Which toy is worth breaking the review hiatus? Well, not shockingly, it’s one from Lelo, one of my favorite sex toy manufacturers.  In fact, it is the fancy new and updated version of the Mona vibrator. It’s the Lelo Mona 2!

I really love Lelo because you know they are going to give you a quality toy made of good quality plastic (for the handle) and medical grade silicone for the vibrator itself. Medical grade silicone is hyopallergetic, body safe, phthalate free, and sterilizable (wipe it down with a 10% bleach solution, let it sit, and them rinse it off to sterilize it before sharing!). Moreover, it’s a more sustainable toy, because it’s rechargeable. Not only will you not have to deal with buying batteries (and perhaps running out at the exact wrong time), but it is more eco friendly to use this type of toy.

As compared to some of their older toys (my demo Lelo Gigi for workshops is circa 2007), I love the handle and the buttons on the new one. They are smoother, easier to use during sex (especially if your hands are all kinds of lube-y), and look cleaner as well.

Like most of the Lelo line, this toy packs power, and has a variety of power levels, as well as types of settings. Whether you are newer to toys, or want something that has more of a hardcore power level, this toy has all of the option. Plus, this one, like the Gigi, is designed specifically for G-spot stimulation. However, while the Gigi is great for beginners, this one is a little bigger, a little thicker, and really felt more fulfilling than the Gigi does, in that I like having a bit more girth than I used to when I got my own Gigi. Having the option to use it externally (clitorally, as well as on a scrotum, nipples, etc) or internally means that this is a toy for all types of wants and needs.

While personally not a fan of the pink color (excuse me, Cerise), I can highly recommend this toy to anyone looking for a vibe that is easy to use, made of quality materially, and can be used either externally or internally. Lelo has a history of making fabulous feeling, high quality toys, and the Mona 2 is certainly no exception.

I love Lelo sex toys — they are made of great materials, they are all rechargeable, and they all come with a one year warranty. It really doesn’t get much better than that. I’ve reviewed a lot of their toys; the Lelo Mia, the Lelo Ina, and others on my previous review blog.

This week, I’m reviewing the Lelo Iris, which is the biggest of the Lelo toys, and comes with dual motors, so you can have two different types of internal stimulation at the same time. Plus, there are all sorts of fun and fabulous patterns, as well as different levels of vibration for each set of patterns, so you have lots of choices and options, and it never gets boring. If you’re looking for an external or clitoral vibe, I’d say go for the Lelo Siri, and if you’re looking for a g-spot specific vibe, I’d suggest the Lelo Gigi. However, if you’re wanting something a little bigger, and with some more power options, then the Lelo Iris is right up your alley. Keep in mind that since it is 100% medical grade silicone, you should use a water based lubricant with it — I’d suggest Maximus, since it is my favorite!

Enjoy my thoughts on the video, and then head over to get a Lelo Iris of your own!

It’s a mouse, it’s a com device….no no, it’s the Better Than Chocolate vibrator! In my latest video review, I take on Nomi Tang’s clitoral stimulator/external vibrator, the Better Than Chocolate. It’s a cute toy, made to hug the curves of a variety of parts of the body (the vulva, around the penis shaft, etc), and comes in two colors; plum and navy, which is awesome for those who aren’t the biggest fan of pink (like me!). While I wish that it was made of silicone (which is a sterilizable material), at least is is made of elastomer, which happens to be a phthalate free and body-friendly material. This makes it safe and hypo-allergenic for bodies, and is also compatible with a variety of water-based lubricants. It can be used solo for masturbatory fun, or with a partner for some vibe-tastic interactions.

All in all, it isn’t better than chocolate. However, it’s a fun toy, with pretty light up action. If you’re looking for something similar but made of silicone and rechargable, I’d suggest the Lelo Siri.

Check out the video below to hear more of what I think, and then head over to Babeland to get your own Better Than Chocolate Nomi Tang Vibrator.

I love rechargeable sex toys, for a variety of reasons. First of all, you never have that awkward moment when the batteries are dead, and you don’t have anymore, and you finally rationalize pulling them out of the remote for sexual use, and then you realize that you stole them from the remote for your OTHER toy with dead batteries, and now you’re turned on and screwed, but not in the good kind of way. Secondly, rechargeable is better for the environment — you’re not dealing with going through tons of batteries, dealing with how to dispose of them, etc.

USB rechargeable vibrator

However, one issue I tend to have with rechargeable toys that have corded chargers is I misplace the cords, or try to use the wrong ones. Then my cats chew through them, and you can’t really buy them separately, or you bring the toy on your trip, but forget the charging cords, and again, sad pandas.

The Lelo Mia, however, is a pleasure object that truly thinks outside the box (pun totally intended). Basically, it’s a lipstick or flash drive shaped vibrator that charges…wait for it…in your USB drive! That means that all you need is a computer (your own, your office’s, or the business center at your hotel) in order to recharge this fancy schmancy piece of equipment for your sexy times. Awesome, I know.

It only has one pattern; on. However, it does have various speeds you can select, and I’ve found the the recent re-design has helped increase the power provided by the little engine. I love love love this little bugger; great for those wanting a travel friendly vibe, a discreet vibe, and/or a vibe that can easily fit in their purse or pocket. I also really appreciate that the newly re-designed Mia also comes in Black (in additional to pink and purple), as I like black and red toys best.

The cons? It is pretty small, which makes it easy to lose, or become a cat toy. It’s made of phthalate-free ABS plastic, but because it isn’t silicone, it cannot be sterilized, meaning it is a one person, fluid bonded couple, or condom use only toy. I wish it had some pattern options, in addition to the different vibrational levels…and of course, as I said when I first discovered the Mia a few years ago, I wish it actually WAS a flash drive, so you could store sexy pictures or erotica on it, in addition to being able to charge it and then use it as a vibrator.

All in all, I love the Lelo Mia. I think it’s one of the more innovative vibrators available currently, and I’m excited to see what else is coming down the Lelo pipeline. I think the Mia is great for singles, couples, and moresomes looking for a pretty powerful (though it is no Hitachi) vibrator that is discreet, cute, as well as fun and easy to charge.

The We Vibe II Vibrator

Hi. This is the We Vibe II.

I was lucky enough to be one of the first people with the We-Vibe vibrator when it first came out, which is now known as the We Vibe I, since there is now a new edition, the We Vibe II. The biggest difference between the We Vibe I and We Vibe II is that the second version comes with a whole bunch of settings that are changed by pressing in a tiny button, where as the first edition just had a switch for Off, Low and High. Additionally, while the first version came with a sunglasses like case for storage, the We Vibe II has a satin bag to keep it mostly free from dusty, air particles and prying eyes.

Thank to WeVibe(and Standard Innovation, the company that makes this toy), I was given one of the newer toys to review. Sadly, it’s not the red version (because they just came out this toy in both red and teal in addition to the already popular purple color), but regardless, I was excited. When I speak with couples, this is one of the number one toys I recommend because it can be worn by the receiver during intercourse. This means that if someone with a vulva wears it, they receive both clitoral and g-spot vibrations while being penetrated by fingers, dildos or penises, and if someone with a prostate wears it anally, they can get stimulation of both the perineum and the prostate while getting anal penetration. It’s a hands free vibrator that is great for those who like a little extra buzz during penetration, and if the penetration happening is with a penis, said penis gets a little extra vibrate-y love as well!

Now, as many of you know, I love coming up with ideas for sex toys that weren’t part of the original plan. For example, one of my favorite suggested uses for the We Vibe is to charge it, turn it on low, put it on, and wear it out in public under your clothes. The second version seemed to be a little louder to me than the original, but still, once inside and muffled by clothes? You’ve got a hand free vibrator for a good few hours.  Not your cuppa tea? How about wearing it while going down on your partner so that you’re both getting action? Wearing it while in bondage for a fun tease? Using it during mutual masturbation? The list is endless!

The We Vibe II is 100% silicone, so it is body friendly, chemical free, and you can sterilize it by wiping it down with a 10% bleach solution. Regular cleaning with soap and warm water is fine too if you’re not sharing. It is rechargeable, which I personally love, and the hole for the charger is pretty self closing, making it a great water resistant vibrator. This version has NINE vibration speeds/modes, which is awesome. The only problem I had with it was that it was pretty difficult, almost impossible to change the modes by pressing the button once it was already in someone. For the most part, you had to have them take it out, press the button to change the mode, and re-inset. This, and the increased noise level, were my only issues with the toy. Otherwise, this is one of the most fun, innovative, creative and useful vibrators out there, as despite it’s marketing towards straight couples, it can be used in various ways by people of all sexes, genders, orientations and relationship statuses. It’s fun, it’s cute, and for some, it will completely change your sex life life. Don’t forget to pair it with good quality water based lube.

Here is a video review (thanks, as usual, to Fascinations, and especially to Matt) of the Je Joue G-Ki.

It’s a review of the G-Ki, which is this cool new G-spot vibrator from Je Joue that actually has two spiffy joints that bend, making it much easier to make this toy fit YOUR body and YOUR g-spot. Also, it’s a reachargeable toy, which gets a huge thumbs up from me, not only because I am eco-friendly, but also I hate having to deal with batteries, etc.

Check out the video review to see the toy and watch its awesome bendability, as well as hear my thoughts on this toy, and other G-spot superheros, like the Lelo Gigi.

Thanks again Fascinations! Enjoy the review/video (and all the fun and awkward noises I make to describe the vibrations)… Click here to get your very own G-Ki!
