July 9th, from 9:30-11:30 am, at East High School in Denver, is the 4th Annual Pancake Breakfast, put on by the Colorado Anti-Violence Program. [...] Date: January 28th 7pm-ish to January 29th 10am-ish Location: The RACK Room in Denver First and foremost: This is a “girls”-only event, and since the ladies of the RACK room believe strongly in gender inclusion, “girls-only” is not limited to girls born with a vagina. Transfolk, gender queer people, and anyone else who identifies in [...] I love Colorado. Despite getting sick, I had a wonderful trip full of crisp air, leaves changing colors, vegan seitan wings, pumpkin ripple fudge ice cream, delicious veg-friendly Mexican food and more, as well as some great talks with people in the kink, queer and sex positive communities. I always feel so much at home [...] This week brings me back to my homeland; Colorado! The title is a bit deciving — while I will be spending a good deal of my time in Denver, I’ll also be heading down to Colorado Springs tonight to do a Sex Toy 101 event at Colorado College, and check out our new Fascinations store [...] We often talk about sex acts, but it’s rare that we sit down and talk about sexuality as a whole. Is it ok to masturbate in a relationship? Why exactly do we talk about “lube is love?” How do I introduce sex toys into my relationship? What if I’m not horny. All these are topics for discussion, as well as sex toy 101, info about materials, lubes and more. [...] Kelly Leonard, Asst Director of Purdue University’s Disability Resource Center, has been asked to pull together a panel on the intersection of LGBTIQ and Disability/Deaf identities in college students, for the Association for Higher Education and Disability (AHEAD) conference at the Sheraton Denver Downtown.
